A handful of poems of lost love and sadness,
I share with you freely, and hope you relate
to a journey of heartache, for love unrequited;
just gentle heart-whispers
no need for debate.

Each gently fashioned, with honest emotion;
no artful contrivance for critic acclaim;
Beguiled and besotted... each one for a Lady,
no knowledge sometimes, as to even her name.

So, why share the secrets long since, closely hidden?
To prove that, still; hopeless romantics exist.
Out there, in the darkness... a small flame yet flickers,
and so may continue whilst lovers still tryst.

And poems that rhyme, and have structure still flourish
as long as the heart-thoughts are steadfast and true.
Tread soft on my memories... don't seek other meanings;
remember...
That Lady might just have been you.

I will tread softly... even though I don't inspire poetry. *S*

But I do love romantic rhyme... and this is beautiful! *S*
