Ya Know Whut I Mean? Here it is, another Sunday - A day I used to hate - But they have been getting better - (To look forward to, of late). It's the time when, if I'm lucky We two, can sit and talk awhile - When, she'll make me laugh out loud And inside, she'll make me smile. She may speak about the serious Of how, she really feels - About the things, she'd like to do - The dreams wasting, while time steals. I could listen to her all day long And into the nighttime, too Because, her sweet voice and humor Can chase away, all of the blue. She said, "I just tell you everything And I'm talking off, your ears." But she knows, I can see Past the laughter, to her tears. I hope she realizes, too What, her trust in me, can mean - Filling in, Sunday to Sunday All that emptiness, between. She gives me one day in the week So much different, than the rest - Of those seven, she can make it The one, that is, the best. I try hard, to be contented With the time she shares, with me But, I long for so much more Of what, will never be. Abe, I had a friend like that once. It was hard because I wanted it to be more and she was content to just be friends. Women don't understand how hard it is for a man to be just a friend, when we love them. Good luck, Nice write. Tracey. The answer is always NO, Until the question is asked. |
