Bones sweet cousin Marika’s main
man Muck takes a liking to Bones.

Muck was in the same fix
Bones is in when he was a boy.

Muck was started off in the trade
by his own mother.

Bones and Muck have
a special affinity with each other,
the affinity of shared experiences.

Muck likes to fish.

He lends Bones one of his fishing rods,
and they spend a lot of nights together,
sitting on the end of the pier at Pulaski Park,
down at the end of Allegheny Avenue,
fishing.

It gives them both a chance to talk
about their common bond,
as they watch oil tankers
sail up and down the channel
of their mighty Delaware River.

Fishing comes close to meditation, which offers healing of shared wounds.

Could picture this well, dear Bobby.

I hope you catch a Big one.  I like to fish too. Some times here in Idaho we get a Salmon as well as a Trout.
Good work, catch one for me.

Sounds like a real nice break from a dysfunctional life.
Good for Bones, I'm glad he has these friends.

Thanks dear Margherita,

Yes, there is nothing like fishing to heal wounds.  Muck gets a chance to look after Bones.  They are great friends.

Thanks dear Billie,

In the Delaware we go after those big Bullhead Catfish.  We're bottom feeders, don't you know.  It a lot of fun, even if we don't catch much.

There is also the Shad run, that could be starting soon.  That takes a lot of work though, you have to almost spear them with a shad dart.  They are good to eat.

Thanks dear Ida,

For your kind words to Bones.  Yes, Bones always liked to fish.  His grandfather took him fishing many times.
