The life I should have lived

By this time
My mother was married
And on her second child.

She lived south
Somewhere Alabama
In a colonial home

I wondered
If she'd regretted it
Tied down in 1968

Well I do
I wish I had loved more
and the life I should of have lived

What's so amazing about really deep thoughts " Silent all these Years, Tori Amos

don't let the regrets of what you didn't do, stop you from doing what you want to do, now.

but I understand this very well...

What has been has been. You have the NOW to love and to love more, through this new awareness.

Beautiful.

Love,

If she loved her company,

The Life I Never Got to Have

A white house
With a long green
Back yard

My wife
Of many years
Making a
Holiday meal

My daughter
Bringing her children
To visit the old man

My son
On vacation
Saying Pop
I found a great place
Not far from here

Let's go
Fishing

Yo dear Juju,

Let's not have any complaining now.  That doesn't put any bread in your jar, or make you feel better.

Take another stab at it in the morning.

Love Bobby

I started to say one thing, but I realized that I was adding the image of your beautiful picture to the poem, and that's not what this is all about.

Please keep writing.

You are teaching me how to listen to the page.

No one should mourn the life they should have lived Juju. Not until there are no more tomorrows.

In these lonely halls no moon will weep, no sun will shine.
In these narrow rooms no tears are seen, no laughter heard!

mistakes are made every day

big ones are made seldom but can change the path of life forever

this poem has me contemplating the life I should have lived and probably never will
