Gotta love April Fools
'cuz a practical joke
isn't breaking the rules

But it seems like some folks
kinda feel like their wheel's
just been kicked in the spokes

Lighten up, no big deal
if somebody gets you
this may have some appeal

Set 'em up's what you do
use some devious plan
then just tighten the screw

and you'll soon be a fan
of the April Fools' clan

I love this day,  and all the mischief I can get into.  I woke up to snow, and figured Mother Nature may like it a bit too. Loved the Terza Rima - it rocks!

Sorry, Moose. You need to review the rules for the terza rima

Balladeer,
I'm afraid you have me at a loss. I read this as being, 1-2-1, 2-3-2, 3-4-3, 4-5-4, 5-5.
Four tercets ( an indeterminate number ) with an ending couplet which rhymes with the center line of the previous tercet done in anapestic meter. What am I missing here?

Aw, that's ok, doc. It takes a big man to let bygones be bygones

(Why do I feel like I just wasted my time typing that?)

I enjoyed this very much... both the poem and the poetic prank. *S*
