I thought it was probably time for me to put something a bit more cheery up, so here is a poem for my sister. You came off rather ignominiously It really went quite hideously you should have viewed it much more cynically And undertaken it much more clinically. It was meant to be so hearty you were telling me about karate when you spilled the bloody latte at this morning dinner party It was intended honest fun When you asked them all to come But at a quarter past one you could see the guests were done The soup you served was cold The meat should n’er been sold the dessert was far too bold If all truth were told But your pans were made of plastic! Including lego may have been drastic But you thought it went fantastic With those army men and elastic x In such an ugly time, beauty is the real protest |

Thanks guys! Glad it gave you a laugh. It's dawned on me this may seem a little bonkers without the back story. My dear sister from a very young age loved watching Ken Hom's cooking show and would always make me meals of random toys! She is now an excellent cook! I wrote this to cheer her up after she failed her driving test In such an ugly time, beauty is the real protest |
