Who in the hell made you the moral police?
The morally corrupt ones are the first ones to speak.
Always the first ones to judge, but without the gavel & black robe.
The devil has infiltrated the earth, with his minions around the globe.

These are our officers, & the ones we elect as our leaders.
Blinded by own their greed, they soon abandon our needs.
We are sheep, we have selected the wolves to come & lead us.
While our computers and television screens distract us, the media deceives.

A nation of lost, we are too lazy to learn, yet so eager to believe.
That's why religion is big business.
People have stopped living life themselves & started leaving it up to God.
The popes, priests, preachers, & ministers, are self serving frauds.

You ever wondered why it's the poor that they always entice.
While the deceived continue to struggle, the deceiver is living nice.
When will you learn that the prophets will always profit.
Meanwhile the hungry starve & the poor get poorer.

They drop books & pick up guns instead.
Hoping to get bread, trying to get fed, being led by the lurer.
That is..until this all backfires.
You'll never make it out, stopped by the invisible barbed wires.

No one wants the youth to aspire.
Rather they just sit back and wait for them to expire.
It's a never ending circle, they keep you running until you tire.
Believing if you work hard enough you can acquire all that you desire.

It's misleading, the subliminal message is telling us what to believe in.
That we should all fall in line with the norm, conform, & abandon our self.
From infants raised to grow up thinking that happiness equals wealth.
That ideology is destined to fail.

Or so it seems, to those with dreams, while the rich & powerful prevail.
In the pursuit of money, houses, & cars.
The gullible & naive, somehow believe that they too can achieve.
Until their desperation for gold, folds, and they receive time behind bars.

So close but no cigar, being represented by an incompetent shyster.
Sentenced by an unconcerned czar.
Now your place of residence is jail.
Lady justice took the blindfold off, and you can tell.

She's the biggest bigot in the world judging by the jail cells.
It's time to fix them, people being permanently lost in the system.
Man made laws, are loaded with flaws.
And no one cares, until it's a relative of theirs.

It's all corrupt and unfair.
In this world there's no such thing as equality.
That's why knowledge is key.
Beyond that of a college degree.

It doesn't take the army to be all you can be.
Expand your mind, open your heart and you'll see.
That the poor is you, the rich is too.
The helped & the helpless,

Suppressed and the suppressor,
Student & the professor
The right and the wronged
The weak and the strong.

Please just expand your mind.
You would too find, that we are the same, just different name.
That our problems combine, our insecurities intertwine,
your skin is mine.
Just open your heart and you'll see.
That I am you, and you are me

filled with raw truth...as I was reading it appeared to me as a rap song, I could rap it...
did you write it that way? as a rap song?

I SO agree....

it reads more like it was meant for spoken word poetry, not quite rap to me...but the flow is good

This is the universal truth of humanity. The corrupted souls become rich and powerful while people blindly follow the rules of society. Everyone looks for the nearest answer and sometimes anything will seem good, even if it isn't always right. Others forget their abilities to think freely and become slaves to controlling organizations: the governement, religion, television propaganda, and so on. Good poem and thought provoking.
