Hello everyone , my name is Davey Hagens , i'm 17 years old and i'm just new to these forums. If you have any questions regarding the poem or myself, please ask. As I've neem reading poetry for a long time, and latelly i've began to try and create some of my own. I wrote one today, and as part of my introduction i would like to show it. As for my inspiration, a great song from Rowwen Héze got me into a good mood, as my love for a girl..which im saddely enough will never hold in my arms Please, enjoy! --------------------------- The Winds That Soar My life is something I'm willing to share, But to give it to you is something I don't dare, You'll throw it away, cast into the winds that soar, But you'd still be the one, I adore. As life passes by, we can only hope, That we can cling on to that long rope, That we will stay alive, whatever hit we take, Let me be the one to keep you awake. Your face, your name, no more I need, And to every word of yours I shall heed, Keeping our love and freedom sacred, Not allowing it to turn into hatred. Moving along this path of what we will be, You're slowly letting me see, My heart drummed out a lover's beat, As I glowed with joy from head to feet. The hand of love had touched my soul, And to reach your heart would be my goal, I'll wait for you, dream my most beautifull day, As all I have known will be cast away. I had closed the door, upon my heart, I had given trust, I had loved, whilst only getting hurt Untill you came by, and I thought, what is this emotion? It's called love...It is called eternall devotion. The sound of your voice, a symphony of life, To join your concert is to what I want to strive, Maybe when the wind will soar, some day, I'll see the love, which you cast away... Davey Hagens, 23;49;15 , 30th of March, 2009. --------------------------- Thank you very much for your time, and i hope you enjoyed it! ~Dave =D |

Yo Davepth, I wrote a poem like that to a young lady when I was your age. This is very nice. Keep plugging away. Bobby |
