When the gang gets together to think, and talk about Bones, we always reach the same conclusion. Bones never had a chance, no, not a prayer. He was born into the same grim environment that we were. What made the difference for us is that someone important, like a mother, father, or even a state appointed guardian, cared enough to love us. Bones had no one. Bobby |

And even one person can make all the difference in the world. *sad smile* |

a FAR too common tragic story! This author writes the often 'mean' streets of the "Runaway American Dream" so well ... applause for the effective presentation of truth !! |

Thanks dear Suthern, What you say is very true. It puts me in mind of my own dear mother. It also puts me in mind of Bones mother. I happened to walk into their house right after another kid had ratted Bones out for some little thing. Bones mother beat him up real bad, and I remember him screaming, and begging her to stop. Thanks Secondhanddreampoet, For commenting on my true story. Many people seem to be so caught up in your "Runaway American Dream", that they can't hear the less fortunate like Bones crying. I had forgotten all about this one. I’m beginning to believe in your “Runaway American Dream”. Bobby |
