           The Good With The Bad

An old fellow was taken to an old peoples home,
He wasn’t too sure just what to expect,
His son said,“Dad I’ll be back in a few days
And make sure there’s been no neglect.”

A few days later the son called back to see
Just what shape the old fellow was in,
He found him quite happy, satisfied with the home
And on his old face was a toothless sly grin.

In response to his question asking Dad how he was,
He said,“I’ve a nice room at the end of the passage
And they not only give me a warm soapy bath
But a pretty young nurse gave me a lovely massage.”

A couple of weeks passed before son called again
To find his old Dad was quite deeply depressed
He said,“Dad you look as if you’re under some strain
In fact you are looking quite sadly distressed.

Dad said,“son you know that young foreign nurse,
Well it’s turned out that he’s one of those gays,
The day after you left me I fell down on the floor
And he attacked me right there without any delay.”

The son said he was sorry to hear of the strife
And after some thought said this to his Dad
“You always taught us to make the best of our life
And that we must except the good with the bad.”

“You said the young nurse treated you well in the bath
And her affection was a thrilling & quite a happy affray,”
The old man replied,“I only have a bath once a week
But I fall over twice every day.”

Yo LindsayP,

If someone drops the soap in the shower, let someone else pick it up.

Lindsay,  you are sick and twisted, (in a good way) And I can't help but laugh my butt off.
Oh, maybe that's not the best analogy.

Keep them coming my friend.
(oops,  don't read to much into that either)

To Michael, Bill, Bobby, Tracey and Yann,

Thank you kind folks for taking the time to read and respond to my crazy humour, and

Tracey I'm certainly not sick or twisted, even in a nice way, I just love a good

joke. I honestly believe that a good laugh makes us all feel better. I love you all.
Take care.

My friend, Linsay, I hope you did not take offence at my "sick and twisted"
It was meant as a term of endearment.
You know I love your poems and read them knowing I will always be amused at your wit and humor.

I look forward to your writing and try not to miss them.

Keep us laughing and I will keep enjoying.

Your friend in Poetry,   Tracey.

Dear Alison, I love it when I can make you laugh as well. Thank you.

Linda my sweet Canadian Angel, I hope it was only your tummy that was jiggling.
Thank you.

Dixie dear lady I'm glad I made you laugh,
Thanks for for your response

Tracey, my good friend I certainly didn't take any offence at your response and thank you for it.

Dear Ruth, no the odds were against him allright, but as his son said, you have to take the good with the bad. Thank you my dear.
I love you all.

Thanks Greytree, I'm glad it cheered you up.

It's always nice to get a new responser
I don't know if that is a word or not but

you'll know what I mean. I'll put it down to poetic licience.
