I was going to write a poem
about spring
but the sunlight
came through the window
and a bird began to sing.
When I looked out the kitchen window
I saw those purple flowers
cascading over the sides
of the hanging pot
and impatiens blooming
in that sunny spot
near the shed.
So I wandered outside
where I smelled the orange blossoms
that were attracting bees
and saw the yellow roses
near the lemon tree.
So I forgot about writing
and took my cup of tea
outside
where I could enjoy the breeze
and let spring write the poem.

Yo Ida,

There you go Hon.  Take care of those bee guys, and they will take care of you.

Hi Ida,this is the truth of writing, the spring write and the man only testify of the beauty, you had a clever way to teach that, thanks for the very enjoyable read.

Ida Belle, you're one cute little poetess!
Spring wrote a delightfully refreshing poem about herself! She engaged all of my senses and made me smile ~ BIG time!

You should try your hand at writing one! lol lol lol

Love to you and to Spring!

I love the way you let Spring write itself!
Yes indeed, go outside and enjoy the beauty that has been gifted to you by nature.
You can always write at night.

Great turnabout Ida.
I liked this very much.
Let the spring write the poem, sure, why not?

I am so ready for the Spring. Here it is supposedly Spring, and it is pouring down rain, and we are suppose to get some snow on top of that. We are even going to have tornados on top of all that. Oh what horrible weather this is.
Thank you for a view of your Spring.

Ida,

This is beautiful.  I am glad that your spring has warmth and color.  I had my cup of tea by the glass doors today and watched snowflakes dart with the breeze. But, our spring is on the way too.  The birds are very vocal and happy.

Thank you for letting me look at your yard and share a cup of tea.

I love your "not a Spring poem"
Some times just putting down the pen and picking up a cup of tea, can be poetic all by itself.

I thought spring was here,  I just got 3 inches of snow in the last 2 hours.

Springtime in the Rockies,
Gotta luv it.  Tracey.

I loved this Ida. You sure put it all in place. I have been outside "working" at cleaning up and pruning, I should just take a cup of tea and sit a while. Thanks for the reminder. late
