Love Is A Many Splendored Thing

"The way you walk, the way you talk,
everything about you."...a man in love.

"I should like to go to a Chinese fortune teller
and listen to his gorgeous lies"...a woman in love.

Of course you knew there
would be a full moon tonite,
as I knew that an evening
with you would be a delight.

"You bite your nails; if you ever stop
it will be because you're completely peaceful,
completely mine...Dr Su Yen Han.

They say that mysterious things happen
under the auspices of a full moon
and it seems they were totally right.
The evening was delightful
but it ended way too soon.
Thank you for your sweet heart
and thank you for the moon.

Now I'm singing the theme song from that movie...I have always adored that song ~ both the lyrics and the melody.

I shall now slip off to slumber with that song playing in my mind...

You are such a wonderfully romantic Island Man poet. I enjoyed this very much.
