Where shall I lay my head to rest tonight? warmth of deepest love surrounds me, enfolded inside your feathered wings, gently I lay, quietly hear my heartbeat, Stoke my hair, your fingers running through, strands of silken darkness, ribbons, you see my deep dark eyes, the hurt, the pain inside, crying out to you, wipe these tears from my sad eyes, eyes that gaze upon you now in wanting, eyes of deepest of hearts, a dark ocean, waiting for you to dive inside, swim, Comfort my heart, with your soft words, whisper them in my ears, upon my neck, upon my cheek, speak them to my lips, Inside your hands, my face does rest, Trace my back with your fingertips, Tell me in soft, sweet, whispers, "Dry your eyes dear one, for I am here", comfort me tonight in your nest, Where angels sleep, magically upon, clouds of love, healing and kindness, In peacefulness , quiet serenity, wrap your gentle loving arms tight, Allow me to sleep, with a happy heart, beating, glowing life, and love, this moment, precious, sacred, never wanting morning to come. The love and longing in this poem is transcendent. Dear Heart, your romanticism, love, compassion and gentle imagery is beyond words. With love, Luke. Out of reach, out of sight |
