Bones would sit, and listen
to Grandma talking to her friend.

“I warned her
not to marry that guy,
but it did no good.

She went ahead
and married him anyway.

Now look what’s happened,
just look at him.”

—and then she turned,
and looked at Bones.

This can be taken two ways, but if this is the mean grandma, than well I feel bad for bones.

Any way you take it, it was mean.

It seems there are those who just don't realize the damage they can do with words.

Thanks dear Ida,

I think Grandma damaged herself more with her words than she did Bones.  As you may remember, Bones was/is perfect in every way.

Father was a dangerous and violent man.  He never hurt me.  He just had a problem with guns. He was a war hero, and I loved him.

Love Bobby

Someone being a little too critical of Bones' mother in front of him. People can sure be cruel sometimes.

Thanks Eric,

Yes, you have that right.

Grandma and I never got on very well I'm afraid.  She was always ragging on Mom and me.

Thanks dear Kacy,

Yes, Grandma was a terrible gossip, and very self righteous.

Love Bobby
