A Solitary Branch

A lone branch stands in snow,
in complete solitary.
Strong is this branch,
for it has endured natures many
powerful winter winds.

With the new day dawning,
Spring awakens from her sleep;
melting what is left of Winter.

Slowly, as the water drips down the branch,
buds of green are revealed beneath the snow.
One single branch carries hope, life, and renewal.

A lone branch stands in snow,
in complete solitary.
It maybe alone, but is strong
and is the beginning of new life.

I just hope that snow keeps right on melting!

Spring awakens from her sleep;

Something we share as poets, we see something and it inspires us and we have to write what we feel about it, that moment, you did wonderful with the photographic eye and the emotions and poetry behind it!

I can be driving and have to pull off the road to write down something I had viewed or a song I heard that had inspired me, not just driving, but just ever day activities, i can be talking to friends, and say wait a minute, write down a line or two, and then continue talking, come back and finish those thoughts later....

Great job, just don't get too warm, then you would no longer be ARCTIC wind....lol

SEA~ I do hope so as well that Spring will come very fast. For the past couple of days, the sun has been out a lot lately, and it's been very nice out. So, hopefully that's a sign. There's no more snow in sight, but that doesn't mean it won't come back :0 **giggle**

LOL thanks for the click...

ARH ~ Yes, I understand what you mean. Whenever I get an idea, I always have to write it down and then work on it later. It usually happens to me when I am doing something else important lol.

Thanks for that lovely reply

Dear ARCTIC, I love everything about this post! Not only do you write with an artist's brush, you see with an artist's eye!

I could get lost in that photograph! It draws me in ~ as do your words!
