Words are small substitutes Poor tokens sent upon the air Taken flight and made themselves moot No matter how endearing or fair Deeds are the ultimate gift From one to another, each Hearts and entwined souls to lift Given to them that beseech If only through whispers under the moon Intimately expressed one to another Close to the ears soft and swooned In this world, there will be no others Words shall together bring from dreams Two destined to love by any and all means |
