Your eyes may be turned away from love
But you will struggle to lock your heart
Amidst all of the confusion your dreams abide
And to each we will always remain a huge part

The part of us that is unwilling to yield
Our minds sometimes set in our foolish ways
We wear the mask of "yes we're doing fine"
While love, like a rose petal slowly fades

Chances we take hurting one another are many
And the I care and I love you become so few
We spend our lives saying, "in time I'll do that"
Never knowing what tomorrow will bring to you

We never know what our future may hold
But all of our dreams we need to fulfill
As the world passes by we need to jump ship
And test the waters to know how we feel
