Emerald Unwind First off, shoes scatter, unlaced and unbridled Workday falls to the floor, at the door and left idled Chardonnay sparkles briskly in wanton dispose Bouquet quivered shamrocks, a slight hint of rose Cartier but a tear dangling highlight of hills Lace and finery falls off the shoulder at wills Bubbles brew a warm froth in succumb of steamed falls Sizzled scent stirs in hunger bouncing right off the walls Candlelight to suggest in a whispered parlay Given gifts in abundance as the heart might convey Celebration and grace of the green emerald isle As in turn love and luck every reason to smile On the wind but a wish dished in gold loving cup Off the holiday chain are these dreams as made up Every day should be emerald, moving closer to find That the one holds my heart, too each thought on my mind Copyright Kkh 3/16/09 |

Dropping the shoes and picking up the Chardonnay...a fine way to end the day. |
