I dare not ask why |

Morning rays of sunshine angle low in northern skies. My solitary spirit sits silently contemplating mortality, but is not waiting to die. There are things to do, places to go. Will I have a tomorrow? Only a universal 'God' can know. When a lone leaf falls in the forest, with no ears to hear, is all suffering shed like a silent raindrop-tear? While falling asleep trusting tomorrow is but a heartbeat away, I dare not ask why I've been given another day. |

I know what you mean, I dare not ask why either. And, for the same reasons you have so cleverly penned this pensive ponder. Makes you wonder doesn't it? Really special thoughts Kacy Eric |

~ and every new day that you have been given, is a blessing to all those whose lives you touch by your grace, beauty, talent and generosity of spirit. Kacy, your poem is a fine expression of your poet's heart and gratitude. Love & Lots of Light, Linda |

Yo dear Kacy, This is a fine poem for thinking about. All any of us can do is to make the best use possible use of the time we have left. No one knows how much time that is. Love Bobby |

I know how you feel, Kacy. Sometimes, I wonder that about myself. But, I am not going to ask why, either. |

When a lone leaf falls in the forest, with no ears to hear, is all suffering shed like a silent raindrop-tear? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I am so moved by that verse, the gentle fall really touched me. Don't stop thinking about tomorrow, you here! Big hugs, Kacy! |

I know your circumstances make you more aware of your mortality... but truth is... none of us are guaranteed even the rest of this day... and so few remember to be glad for what they're given. *S* Beautiful write, my friend... your spirit is as sweet as it is strong. *S* |

there likely is no 'why' ... fine 'write'! "...I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, ... miles to go before I sleep(!)" |

Kacy, this is quiver-heart beautiful! Perhaps you dare not ask why, but I can answer you with certainty. You are granted another day, and another and another and many, many "nothers" because there are too many people on Earth who need too much of you, including all of is in Pip, for a start, not to mention Sara and everybody you meet once or a hundred and one times! I always read and enjoy all the responses. I particularly agree with Ruth's and particularly enjoyed Bruce's reference to Robert Frost's poem, "Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening" - of which my favourite reference is, of course, to the pony giving his harness a shake wondering whether there is some mistake. However, I also love the part he quoted, along with the rest of the whole poem. Owl |

I like to think you are granted another day because we, your friends, will it and we are granted beautiful days graced by your presence in return, Kacy. Ida |

Kacy, In all these years, you have not written a single poem that hasn't touched me. You are a precious gift to us and I'm thankful you are here. Hang in there. With love, Cathy |
