Two versions of this, which one you like better.

The Rose Not Taken

Inside a vase rests two roses from two paths,
Different colors of varying darkness and denseness.
One with better texture, another lasting will power,
Yet there weight balanced upon the Scales of Love.

Each rose having a road to travel for special delivery,
One upon a highway, another on this bumpy road.
The rose not taken, would if offer any later regrets?
Does an easy path offer a better solution for harmony?

Two roses, inside a vase, so innocent of a scene.
Yet in them lays that dream and possibly failure,
For in a mystery, (is) there is a greater challenge. (?)
One ponders life upon that teeter tooter win-dow.

Where one rose was grown inside, another outside,
Difference as night and day in equilibrium balance.
Where two Roses have different hair colors,
One with Irish fire, another of Latin flame.

So will one ponder fate and takes the vase only,
For it is a priceless Qing Dynasty masterpiece.
Or transfer one to a glass vase of loving heartbeats,
In doing so, taking the rose from its environment.

Which rose will wilt, and which one will melt
Upon those touches, where one kisses affluence
With the bliss that bleeds in love, not thorns,
Upon that rose petal steaming satin static finish.

Never regretting
Never doubting
Never second guessing
The Rose Not Taken.

The Rose Not Taken (Ver, 2)

Inside a vase rests two roses cut from diverse paths of flowers,
Different colors varying darkness, denseness - kid-gloves.
One with better texture, another lasting will power,
Yet there weight balanced upon the Scales of Love.

Traveling roses with special delivery instructions – rosettes.
One upon a highway, another on this bumpy road - melodies.
The rose not taken, would if offer any later regrets?
Does an easy path offer a better solution for harmony?

Two roses, inside a vase, so innocent of a scene.
Yet in them lays sensual dreams or possible black widow,
For in a mystery, is there a greater challenge foreseen?
One then ponders life out that teeter tooter win-dow.

Where one rose was grown inside, another outside,
Difference as night and day in equilibrium balance.
Where two Roses have different hair colored sides,
One of Irish fire, another of Latin flame - mutual brilliance.

So will one ponder fate and takes a vase only, indiscreet?
Being a priceless Qing Dynasty masterpiece acquirement.
Or transfer one to a glass vase of loving heartbeats,
In doing so, taking the rose from its environment.

Which rose will wilt, and which one will melt
Upon those touches, where kisses, tended, flourish;
With the bliss that bleeds in love, not thorns felt,
Upon that rose petal steaming satin static finish.

Never regretting,
Never doubting,
Never second guessing,
The Rose Not Taken.

Hmmm, well, I'm having just as much difficulty in choosing which version of the poem I prefer as I had in choosing which rose!

Enjoyed your poetic thoughts! ~ and it's been awhile! Too long awhile!

Giving you a warm, welcome-back hug,

Linda
