Buying property in Alaska requires certain skills, negotiating with people is easy but the Bears own the wilderness. After a month of negotiations with four ornery land owners Florida seems like a logical choice. Alligators can't run at forty miles an hour. |

Grin~ Awesome. Beautiful country though, Alaska...perhaps its more using the right persuasion??? Florida can be awefully tropical for the Northern blood! Few trees. Enjoyed this! |

I've lived in both states, would have to say they both have some beautiful features. I have friends who live most the year in Alaska, which is the primary HOME, but spend a month or two each winter in FL to warm their bones I prefer bears to gators, auroras and open space to crowded cities. |

Cute poem. I have lived here all my life and grew up in remote 'bear' country. Funny thing is - the bears are seen more in the urban areas where people make attractions for them (like dumpsters and other buffet items) then they do where they are in their natural habitat. Bears are naturally pretty shy and don't seek trouble. I saw my first bear in Montana. Go figure. Alison |

critical mass - speaking of bears, we have them gracefully walking down main street at any time of the day. Speaking of gators, rather have the bears with low humidity... BC |

Enjoyed the write, but I'm deathly afraid of humidity, so I'd go with Alaska myself. Not that Minnesota is too far off, and we don't really have either so..lol |
