There is something about the late hours the cold hours here in the north when others have gone ashore or abandoned ship when one is left with a raft to drift to ride the swell or to be calm Shipmates should not apply should stay safe on the dock This is the journey of one to sail by the stars maybe a bright moon alone |

Oh, yes! I've been out on the ocean in a small sailboat, underneath the stars, away from city lights and noise. It is extraordinarily peaceful, as long as the weather is cooperative. (missing my Pacific today) |

Drifting alone in the open sea would be liberating no doubt, if not frightening, but I can only imagine. After the second line, this is 90% metaphor/allegory. We each have our own sea . . . in the late hours. Thanks for stopping by. e |
