writing swallows from the well listening to the bucket reach the top laboring incessantly at time's behest rope tangles, rises, but still it fell striving to bring it to a safe stop smiling at the sight of my mediocrity's best watching the sight of others' swell at the beauty of inspiration's drop onto the palates which do arrest the mind in reverie, caught in awe of the rivers of excellence I saw |

You know, I do like the rhyme pattern here. I might take a stab at something like this. Thanks for the poem and the inspiration. |

CG, thank you for nice appreciation of the form. A trilonnet is ABC ABC ABC DD and a madrigal is ABC ABC DD, so I guess it falls in between...though I did not realize that when writing it... SEA, thank you...I had to re-read it to see if I thought so too ~smiles~...your comments are appreciated Linda, thank you...should I confess that the first line was an accident or just take credit? Oh well, in that case, it was the result of hours of creative juices flowing... but, I do thank you for commenting... |

All of this is very good but the following stuck with me. "watching the sight of others' swell at the beauty of inspiration's drop onto the palates which do arrest" Very nice work. Eric |

I love these thoughts you wrote, you've expressed the feeling perfectly. It is wonderful and very special how the written words can touch us so profoundly. |

sometimes it's hard to pick up on rhyme schemes like this and I wrote one myself years ago that people loved for the words and not necessarily the format. But the format makes it greater! Good job! |
