Glances askance in sideways mirrors Thinly veiled truth in all that you do But in the end we know how it always is Flowers of blood as payment to you You and I will always remember this Both with wonder and us wide-eyed But one last time before we go forever As another living thing senselessly dies I watch you slip out of someone else’s life A cold new moon and snow coming down Flickering lights of candles dripping wax And the clocks between us come unwound Room gets smaller every second we breathe The night always young and always ours A cold cruel day ticking seconds away Watching me scream as if for hours A thousand kisses and it comes down to this Missed chances and tear stains on the wall Dripping red, one for every time I tried, And then let the flowers of blood fall |

I watch you slip out of someone else’s life A cold new moon and snow coming down Flickering lights of candles dripping wax And the clocks between us come unwound Such vivid visuals... I didn't just read words, I saw the action playing out. This is superb!! |
