there were dogs walking their people
beside some sleepy legged ocean
you had your smile on for moments
like you were playing strip tease
and then got nervous about being free

you said I wanted to unwrap your presents
that you could tell by my eyes
and how they seemed to undress you
even when you pretended to be baring
the most hidden parts of your love

I didn't answer your hands as they touched
and pressed my leather into submission
but I felt them exploring my heart
although you said it was my skin you wanted
so you could have your very own tattoos

but without the burning of your prison

I love how you're able to suspend those moments of the passion that lies behind the furtive glance or cool hand. The next second could be wildly out of control.

And your words explore ours. *S* You've got a gift, my friend... truly.

there's no submission
to be had when urgent meets
the press of yearning.

Daark,

Your poem wants me to jump and down and wave my arms while yelling, "I have dogs!" as if this puts me in some volunteer-for-service category.

You know how I love this because I am telling you now.

I love this.
