The winds slowly glided in,

Whispering gently the sound of distant chimes.

A sudden flash of light,

Dancing wildly through the darkened sky.

Then a clap thundered nearby,

Bellowing deeply way up high.

The heavy clouds burst forth,

Raining down a rhythmic beat.

Somewhere in this starless night,

The symphony is now complete.

"Le coeur a ses raisons que la raison ne connait point.
The heart has its reasons of which reason knows nothing."

~ Blaise Pascal ~

When I read this poem there was a thunderstorm outside, so it was fitting.

I imagine Frasier Crane delivering this poem for some reason.

I see you are one of the first Pip members, but I have not seen much of you. Nice that you are posting again.

I love rain and thunder and for me the symphony is complete here, just as you say.

Beautiful!

Love,
Margherita

I enjoyed every word of the raindance you wrote.... The chimes blowing in the wind brought your storm to life.

Excellent writing, Verve.

Look what the storm blew in...verve!
Your concise, powerful 'quick' imagery fits a thunder storm perfectly! Bravo!
