I want new curtains heavy, thick to shroud the mind from love’s desire and I want to sleep dead, deader still, till long past my awakening. I want the sleep of ignorance, the sleep of one deemed spiritless, two brown eyes instead of blue, the body of a younger me, the heart of one who never loved, and a soul that knows its place. I want and yet of wants they are purely home-grown fantasies that never bud or bloom but in this time of knowing more I still dig and plant the seeds and look most every day for a hint of change. But nothing comes and nothing goes when wants aren’t needed by the soul! Helen / 1 March 2009 |

What an impressive write, dear Helen!! I must just stay a while and absorb your thoughts here. As long as there is desire, there will also be suffering, but I know it is not easy to be without desire, so we continue to suffer. Thicker curtains won't do. And of course a beautiful soul like yours must really feel awkward when her owner expresses the wish to be spiritless. Instead, I suppose, your soul wants to be embraced and told that you are living and loving and learning just what you have come to live, love and learn. Sleep is all right, but not the sleep of ignorance, sleep of recharging the batteries, sleep of connection with ... soul. Go on planting your seeds and all is well. I send you all my love, beautiful Poetess. Margherita ![]() |

Thank you, dear Margherita. I know, I know, but sometimes, sometimes, I really do want to be "ignorant". No going back, of course. Sigh! I needed to read your comment - thank you. Much love Helen |

Honey, I could not express my own thoughts better than Margherita wrote in her reply ~ Quoting Margherita "I must just stay a while and absorb your thoughts here. Yo dear Honeybunch, Blue eyes work just as well as brown eyes. Mine are hazel, they work good too. Love Bobby |

There's always something behind a curtain. There's always sunshine after rain. There's always choices after change. There's always friendship after sadness. There's always heartbeat before death. There's always reason after rhyme. And, there's always you worth your best! Eric |
