Listen to the whispering wind; the softest, sweetest kiss upon your cheek. A gentle sigh across the depths of night... as tender as a Lullaby. From across the endless, cloudless, starry skies... untiringly, it quests and seeks to caress you with a silken breath... far softer than an Angel's sigh. Listen to the whispering wind; Over earth and ocean, with a gentle sigh it spins, to softly sway your hair, and ruffle your dress in the pale moonlight. Listen to its gentle breath; can you hear its message as it whispers by? Can you hear the thoughts that were put into its care... these words that have journeyed through the velvet night? Listen to the whispering wind; Out there, somewhere; someone dreams of your smile. A dream not cheapened by lustful imagine... with their hopes... the harvest of your haunting eyes. A look of Love that mirrors their own... the look of Love that cannot be defiled by time and distance... years and miles; a Love that will never say goodbye. Listen to the whispering wind; in the darkest nights of the soul... all are alone; pulling phantom shapes out of the shadowy gloom... fears, their frightened thoughts devise; that they will never hold on to love... that all they had hoped for, has swiftly flown; never more to see the succulent light from the little fires in their lover's eyes. Listen to the whispering wind; does it say that there's not enough love to go around? That in this world, there are some who hoard love... like mounds of gold grasped by one, so miserly. Then hold the one who whispers to you, closely to your heart... for if you do; then the very last sound you hear, will be your name soft-framed upon their lips asking you to wait for them on the edge of Eternity |

A lovely offering, Wind. Thank you! I whisper a few poems myself. |
