nocturnal waltz nothing is right tonight and i am out of sorts i try to sooth the edges, stroke them smooth instead i see you with my eyes closed but your touch is too far away even so, maybe especially so i share the song of you i dance in your dreams as you do mine silly thoughts make me smile, easing this restless spirit of me tonight and behind my eyelids i feel warmth from you to my body as you sing invitation when i open my eyes, you are there watching, smiling, moving with me from outside-in we are together our voices meld as my edges smooth, soothed and held by you close, we dance in the dark we dance sharing the night - Alison |
