I look at those movie stars— so young, vibrant, beautiful, then, on late night TV, so old, wrinkled and gray . . . Why isn’t it we grow up, say, to eighty, but still look like twenty? Why not shriveled up on the inside when we die, but young, vibrant and beautiful, on the outside? |

Ah, I know we both have the answer, don’t we? But, just in case, what do you think? art |

My children say.."you have scarred me for life" But it is the scars of life they love to show and compare. They spend hours remembering when....How dull their lives would have been with no scars. The same with the wrinkles. I love mine. Except the fat ones... well maybe the love handles are ok. love Boshii2 |

Then we wouldn't have the deeply thought out reasons to teach others. Scientists can't figure out why we do grow old because our bodies are made to replenish the cells over and over. I think it's because I drank too much whiskey and dreamed I was smart. Then I found out the difference and just shook my grey head is silence. The drink just kept me from being me. Too late I had aged......(smile).. Good pondering piece. Eric |

I'd hate to look the way I did when I was 20. The grey hair and near-wrinkles suggest that I am wise, mature, knowledgeable, at peace with the world, unstressed, and should be knitting in a rocking chair - ha ha! if only they knew! Owl |

Art, Do speak with your local funeral director. They are experts at this. I got a kick out of this. Bobby |

Art each stage in life has something beautiful going for it and always remember that beauty is always in the eye of the beholder, and what one person thinks is beautiful another person may not. enjoyed your post. Lindsay |

How about young, vibrant and beautiful on the INSIDE when we die. I find that more appealing. Maybe you have to be of a certain age . . . |
