 Artist:Beatrice Adams Reach Out by Linda L. Dowd When life’s too hard to bear ~ Reach out and I will be there to sooth and comfort you. When cold winds chill to bone ~ Reach out and I will be there to warm and swaddle you When illness takes a toll ~ Reach out and I will be there to hold and heal you When you are frail and weak ~ Reach out and I will be there to give strength unto you. This struck me right away. It brought back a conversation I had at church last night. And it was a conversation that was probably echoed in half the churches in the country in one form or another. Truly a universal poem. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |

I wish I could have your faith dear Linda. But I fear my own cynicism defeats me. Nevertheless, a beautifully written poem. Never sigh for a better world, it's already composed, played and told. |
