Shelter

~What you are to me is so much more than what words describe.
~A feeling that is so strong it can only be felt from deep inside.

~When the rain pours and the sky turns black,
~Will you take my hand?
~Run through the rain?
~Never look back?

~If the world came tumbling down, even the sun,
~Would you be there to shelter me?
~As I would you?
~Like a mother bird's wing for her young?

~A filthy world filled with greed and hate,
~Pushes us down.
~Alone we are strong,
~Together we fall no shorter than great.

~From the plentiful sufferings others are subdued,
~Pushed way down.
~How do they survive it?

~What everyone needs is a friend like you...
