Dear Friend, If only I could find the courage to say it to your face How much I love your, a love that can't be replaced I try not to remember, I try not to dream But I can't help but remember we were such a good team I miss your phone calls and kisses in the dark But even more the way you'd miss me when we were apart When we fought and argued, you always knew how to win You'd just twinkle your eyes and flash your boyish grin You said we'd be friends and we were That is until you met her Seeing you with her in the halls I just couldn't bare Please forgive me, I couldn't help but stare She was my friend and I was jealous of her But could you blame me, she messed us up for sure In time you started to fade But I never forgot the memories we made I'm not asking for your love and not much from you Just a friend, the friend I once knew With Love, A Friend |
