Life was perfect, like a newly oiled machine! It was all running smooth. I felt special, I was a someone. I was the happiest I had ever been in my whole life. I was Queen, on top of the world, your were the on holding me up. Then one day that all changed, you drifted away, you must of lost interest or I was just a big burden on your shoulders. Because you dropped me just like that. As you walked off you didn't even look back, not even a glance over your shoulder to see if I was ok. No condolence what so ever. I layed there all alone not knowing what to do. There was no warning that you'd be leaving, not even a sign of a breakup or even a goodbye. I thought it was just a bad dream, I kept waiting for you to walk around the corner to come back to me with your smile. You never did. That's when I hit rock bottom, I hit reality. You were no longer here to hold me up. I finally woke up from my happy dream to the fact that you were only a dream. And again Im just another face in the crowd. by:Misty ____________________________________________ For more poems by misty go to: http://www.geocities.com/Paris/Arc/1644 ~Thanks ------------------ ©Misty |

This is some really great imagery. You are still somebody (a great poet) and you don't even need anyone to hold you up. Keep up the good work. |
