sometimes i seem dead to you
barely breathing,
and defensless;
sometimes i feel that way
after your done with me.
you hate to look at me like this,
you know your the one who caused it all
and once i shead a tear
you can't cope,
you want to slap me.
you, you, you
it's all about you.
but the pain i feel is mine,
the thoughts i think are mine,
the anger towards you i feel is mine,
the hand i hold is mine.
i hurt sometimes, okay, all the time
and you think tomorrow should change all that
but sorrow doesn't evaporate so suddenly from inside.
the tension i feel is mine,
the lonelieness i feel is mine,
although it's caused by you.
the words i speak are mine,
the overcomeing of the situation is mine.
mine, mine , mine
this time it's all mine,
you can cause me the pain
but the recovery is mine.

With every new poem I read of yours, the more I see a very powerful person. If time or space has its way I think the two of us with our pain could write the next award winning poem.
