I find it difficult to read the heading for this specific forum... "Teens often have a unique perspective on life and love" What is that? Is that to say that teenagers contain an interesting, however immature, view of love? Pardon my ignorance to all possibilities on this subject, but for the most part IMHO that is how the world would look at the sentance. Again I request another pardon... Pardon my negative reaction to the stereo-type of a "Teen". It's just a nerve with me. It lies at the base of what I wish to open the eyes of the world to... A supreme goal in life. To tear down the age barriers and replace them with barriers based on maturity. How? I'm working on that... But I'm not too far off. Reguardless... while "Teens often have a unique perspective on life and love" should bear no insult to most people (and to some it may even give a pride boost), it does go against what it is I have been working towards for much of my life. I don't ask that the forum name be changed... Nor do I ask that the heading be changed... All I ask is that it is generally understood that when the heading is read IMHO it is to mean that teens are able to take their adolescent and newfound adult wisdoms and combine them to find an altogether unique and insightful point of view... One that everyone could learn from. ------------------ -Love is a dangerous emotion, You can brighten the lives of others immensly with it, Or You can destroy a person in a way that is unparalleled. I couldn't agree with you more, Sage. Why do you think I never post in this forum? I hate labels!!!! |
