The battlelines are drawn. The opponents engaged. Strong words were your weapons: Insensitivity, my heart was hid behind My counter-offensive struck deep within your heart, and deep within my soul. Trodding on the borders between our love and hate. Unbridled passion clashed, This conflict was our fate. A war of wills, not fists The victor reigns supreme. Unchallenged by the lost combatant slain unseen. No winner in this game, a clash between our hearts. Where winners fall of guilt and losers are torn apart. But in this conflict lies, pursuit and a retreat. For in these fallen hearts lies our souls' defeat. ------------------ "Lost time is never found again." -Ben Franklin. |
