why is it that some of the new poeple get moderators that read there stuff and others dont?????? none of my stuff has really been read. just a question. i am in trouble but no one knows it if you can figure out my messages thenhelp me. |

Welcome to Passions, SpiritRider. I must admit, I haven't come across your posts as yet. But give us time! It's been a busy week! I've done a search, and first I must commend you on not only posting your own poetry, but having apparently read our guidelines, and have been responding to others. We're a fairly large site, so it takes time to get to know folks. You came in just this weekend; lots of folks out of town; lots of kids finishing up school and the like. Good things take time; getting to know the Teens will take a little time, just let them get back into the forums and you'll see. I did note, also, that you mentioned in one of your poems that your spelling may be in need of a little tune-up. I think we have enough serious writers among us to care enough about their poetry that they take time to run a spell check to make sure everything is "just right" with their work. When we see poetry that could use a spell check, instead of being put off by the spelling, we go on to others who care enough about their craft to have done just that. You might want to look at some of the work in Open, see how people are careful about their spelling, grammar and the like, and work on that aspect of your poetry as well. Perhaps tonight I will have some time to get into Teen and give your poetry a read. In the meantime, do enjoy all that we have to offer, and I look forward to reading your work very soon. Moderators have a lot of work to do in the forums, and a lot of them tend to bounce from forum to forum... many of them keep an eye out for some writers that they know they like reading, but because they have duties other than reading and writing at this site, they have to be a bit selective with what they reply to or don't reply to. I think you're getting backwards about this... it's a real compliment to have a reply from a moderator, in my opinion, because they are so selective about what they reply to. Don't take it personally if you are being overlooked by a few moderators because most people are... It's not like they're playing favourites... they're just really busy, and most of the time, can't read and reply to everything. |
