Being seventeen, I mostly post in the teen forums. And I don't recognize hardly ANY names from there posting in the discussion forum. All of those being adults that just kind of check in on us teenagers every once in awhile. I love talking to adults... and learning from them, but I was wondering if there are even any teenagers that ever come into this part of the site.

Anyway, yep. That's what I have to say for today.

There are a lot of teens who don't post in Teen Poetry, who come back here to talk a lot... like me, for example..

I know how you feel, though.  It's kind of strange to wander away from your usual landing spot and actually mingle with the folks from the other forums, isn't it?  I'm sure you'll find that most of us don't bite... we're actually quite friendly...

In fact, there did used to be a Teen Chat forum, where the Teen members could just have some nice discussion threads of their own, but it was removed because it was getting out of hand.  So, now you've got no choice but to hang with the old folks.

Do look around, get to know us... maybe even start using "Today's Topics" instead of browsing forums individually, if you really want to expand and get to know the whole of piptalk, teens and adults alike.  You'll find it most rewarding.

Poets are the unacknowledged legislators of the world.

But... nice to meet you! Discussion forums are fun!

Yay! People! Okay, so you guys do come over here, too.

I feel kind of strange posting something anywhere on this forum that isn't poetry...

And like I said, I like adults. And little kids... and senior citizens... and people my age... hee. I'm rambling.

I'm a teen (isn't it so ludicrously (and annoyingly) obvious?).  I hate my username but I made it up last year or whenever I first joined and just never wrote until this last month or so.  I'm sixteen (I still keep thinking I'm fifteen, don't know why, guess it's just 'cause I'm so mixed up and tangled and twisted about that I just don't realize things anymore).

And...well...I don't know.  I don't want to start complaining...so ok then.

I don't know if today is a good day, or if yesterday was, or if tomorrow will be, but I'd like to think so.

Teen at heart counts? GREAT! Count me in...lol. I have been a teen for a couple of decades now but I was a teen moderator a while back.

Hey LoveBug....Good to see you. How are things? How is school? What's new? It is good to see you.

Marilyn.

I'm actually just wandering over here. I usually dwell in the Teen Poetry forum about once a week, which is hardly anything. I'm 15, and here I am. I'm not quite addicted to this place just YET, but is it truly impossible to become that way? I'll get the hang of things eventually, I guess...

Yes... it's definitely possible to become addicted. I find myself ending up here every day, now. I love this place because enough people are here so days or weeks don't go by between replies, but there aren't so MANY people that there are like, fifty new topics a day in every forum. Plus, I don't know anybody here for real, so I can post poetry that I wouldn't otherwise post, ya know?

Anyway, I'm off to check out the rest of the topics...

I've been exploring more on here this morning, and now I'm slipping deeper into the addiction. I can understand that people love this place, but how on earth do some get so many as 35,000 posts?? Thats remarkable!

Ahm...weren't we just talking about some sort of obsession?  LOL...

or it could be because the sun is everywhere, maybe?...

blueeyedlioness and Indigoeve [what great names!!!]...you're going to become quite familiar with all areas of Passions, given time, and given your likes and dislikes.  One of the remarkable things about this place is its diversity, and the ingenuity so many members have.  While Passions stemmed from another website about four years ago, it has far surpassed other websites I have visited.  Primarily because Ron, our fearless provider, has vision, insight, and keeps this place as one huge home for roaming poets...and thinkers, conversationalists, dreamers, doers, artists, even techno-nuts...

So as you roam around the many hallways, ask yourself...do you want to be here?  Chances are, you'll only say..."why didn't I find this place sooner???"

Welcome to Passions!

Ohmigosh, really?! Freakiness... that is really weird.

Nope, I'm a Taurus. My year's the Tiger, though... so we have big cats in common, too.

Hmmm...

Hi, my name is Anne, and I'm really as old as the mean old cat that calls my home his castle, and I'm not telling you how old that is, cause it's just way too depressing to think about.

Darn, I don't think I can even remember 17 anymore.
