Yeah yeah, I'm 19 and a half years old, but I miss my mummy. We spent five days together, pretty much just her and I (Dad had a hockey tournament) and when she drove away yesterday I just went back to my room and cried my eyes out... I'm still crying, 24 hours later... any other time, I'm only homesick for a day, but it's over a day now. I can't afford to phone her, and email's just not personal enough.
Now that I'm at college, I've grown way closer to my parents... I can see them as people, not just the people who raised me... but I still miss my mummy

As a mother, I can tell you she's crying and missing YOU too. My daughter was here for a week and I cried when she left. Call her! Call her collect!!! She'll love you for it.

*smile*  Okay, I'm 27 and I miss my mom every day.  I live across the country from her...it doesn't get any easier, but it make me realize even more (I already knew she was great!) all of the things that make her such a good mom.  It makes the times spent together that much better!

Rhonda...you know I hear you and feel for you.
Your mum is fortunate to have a wonderful daughter
who loves her so much.
I know you miss her very much and I'm sure she
misses you too.  I hope you get to see her again soon.
Love and BIG HUGS to you,
~Vicky

Rhonda, I'm so glad I got a chance to read this heartfelt post this morning. You tugged on my heart, and I'm picking up the phone shortly to call my mom, just because I've been missing her too. I may be pushing 40, but I feel the same way you do. Give her a call ... even if it's just to say "I miss you" ...

Thanks for starting my day in such a beautiful way. Hugs to you for being the lovely young lady that you are.  Your mom is a lucky woman.

I know, I can't wait to get out of the house now, but as soon as I do go to college, I'd give it a week at best that I miss my mom.

I know how you feel. I miss my mommy too. (wait a sec, she's right in the kitchen) I miss her more when I am near her than when I am away(don't even ask. Do I ever make sense?)

Never be normal!

I know eactly how you feel. I am at University and have realised how much my parents mean to me. I cant wait to go home at Christmas and see them. I dont know if it helps but the way I see it is being away from them just makes the time when you are together even more special, dx
