![]() I don't know why I do this to my self. ~*Sigh*~ Lessons I never learn. ![]() I am also feeling down because I haven't been able to write any poetry lately. My muse went to lunch and hasn't returned. Not that she was any good anyway. Maybe I should find a new one! ![]() OK, I feel better now that that's off my chest. Though, I am still hung over. Water. Aspirin. Sleep. some potassium helps too. And I think hangovers are the giggle of the gods--sort of like "HA! You only THOUGHT you were hurting yesterday!" ![]() (serenity exits...shutting the door quietly...) |

Hung over, I know that feeling all to well... there is no cure i know of. Though different drinks can cause various degrees of hangovers. Find the drink that works best for you. I remember getting drunk on vodka and felt like I was dying, about a hour later. It was hell. As for your muse, they return wagging their tails behind them, mine took a 9 month trip around the world only returned a few days ago. So have faith and patience. Too early for the rainbow, too early for the dove These are the final days, this is the darkness, this is the flood |

I'd suggest getting drunk all over again and drinking a LOT of water before you pass out but that probably wouldn't be a good idea. Just take Serenity's advice. Water. Asprin and sleep. Set a trap for your muse and I hope you start feeling better. It's the Aussie in you, we love to drink but don't think about the day after. ![]() "No wonder I do not make people comfortable. One can enjoy a nice buzz with alcohol without getting a hangover, even if they drink more than usual. The key is, and this takes discipline, to avoid dehydration. The best to accomplish this is... 1. Prior to drinking alcohol, drink plenty of water (at least a quart within one hour to drinking. 2. While drinking, take breaks from alcohol and drink 8 ounces of water. Do this at least after every other drink. The more you alcohol you drink, the more water you should drink. 3. After drinking for the evening, drink at least one more glass of water. This should suffice. As for aspirins, motrin, etc...that optional. Myself, I do not take and do not believe in taking any type of those medicinal products. |

My muse went on vacation, a long while ago. A few weeks ago, my muse started to come back, however, suddenly I suspect it is not actually my muse. I wrote the first love poem I have ever written today. Very out of character for me, because not only do I dislike writing love poems, but I dislike love itself... LOL. Help! My muse deserted me and sent a replacement! Kielo |

Ummmm .... I don't think I drank enough water last night! ![]() I do remember my Aunt telling me a few years ago that she just couldn't drink like she used to, said she was flat getting too old, and I laughed at her. I tend to believe her now! ![]() ~Sheri "Don't wait for your ship to come in ... Swim out to it" [This message has been edited by Irie (09-26-2002 02:00 PM).] |

i always found a beer the next morning to work just fine... serious. with the alcohol already in your blood, it creates a mild buzz (which signifigantly decreases the hangover symptoms) and allows you to come down much easier. i learned this in high school, lol. 'course, i've never really had hangovers... 'ceptin my twenty-first birthday and that's a story for another day. ![]() hugs you ![]() |
