How do you feel when your muse is working and the words are flowing and you just can't stop writing? Is is like being in love?

I guess I just feel excited....?
I don't think anything can be like being in love cept for ......well......BEING IN LOVE.
I guess I can just say that when my muse is working perfectly I feel an extreme amount of happiness....
Yet Usually when I'm writing it's when I feel the most sorrow....so if I write a lot of great pieces and I'm feeling happy about that, well at the same time I'm feeling sorrow....so yea.

To me it is a very secure feeling, knowing that things won't change tomorrow.  It is something like the feeling of being in love and yet it's also almost like a drug addiction, waiting for the next fix.  It's also like a "rush."  Remember that expression?  It is wonderful!

It's receiving an unconditional gift...don't question it, and be grateful.  And make sure all your pens are working.

Amazed
Exhilarated

Joyously soundly occupied with so many thoughts at one time that they all seem tangible enough that they could pick up a pen all by themselves and write for me.

I think you're on to something about that love thing too, Devine.

forgot one...CLEANSED..PURGED...same of course..but still..

It's almost like being in a trance...the words just keep coming...flowing out of the pen in a rush... almost like sex heh heh

On those rare occasions? smile...it's lovely because I DON'T feel...it's like I'm not even there. Total Zen/bliss/nothingness/everything

lucid dreaming
where everything fits somehow effortlessly...If I must paint a visual...it's like ice-skating and hang-gliding all at the same time. Whereas LOVE? Is intensity of feeling? This? is the expression of that. And if I have a really good night? I LEVITATE....

Don't know exactly, words just come to my mind when not expected.
If I sit down to write, I always end up with a blanc sheet.

I can write a poem my dear
even when just sitting here
my likes for you Poet deVine
will put my words into a line
lovely question you did submit
gave me good feelings I must admit

I get so very excited when my muse comes back from it's long vacations.  It's very exhilerating!  I wouldn't say it's like being in love.  Being in love is a feeling all it's own, no where close to any other.  But I do get very poetic, very excited

Of course its like bein in love, u can't eat, u can't sleep and u think about it constantly. You feel excited and you feel a void has been filled. In saying that my muse could be the love of my life.

Don't ever give in, if you do you've lost everything you've ever had and everything you hope to gain, but if you carry on your already winning.

Well, nothing's like being in love. . . but, yes. . . this is close. . .

Like being in love?
(Are you suggesting that poetic energy has something to do with your hormonal activity?)
No, not at all.  Not even parallel.
Different realms, no comparison.
Having successfully transcribed a bit of my complexity into a simple language format can be a bit of satisfaction of the highest order.
Is love that lofty for you?
