Just a quick comment, I think these people are the bravest human beings on earth. How do you walk into a burning building? Just listening to more news, about a big fire, and a number of men lost. It never fails to amaze me, the phenomenal strength of purpose and heart found within that profession. |

And our own firefighter, Jamie, can tell us how hard this is...he's also a search and rescue expert...so I agree....they all deserve our respect. |

Modern-day heroes, to be sure ... my uncle married a firefighter, and my if she isn't a little 5'4 ball of spunk and muscle! My uncle is 6'4 and weighs in at about 290 lbs -- and she has demonstrated that she is quite capable of carrying him out of a burning building should it become necessary! She just tossed him over one shoulder and jogged three laps around the yard ... ROFL ... you should have seen his face! Thus, Jamie, I speak from experience when I say that you and other members of your profession are rare birds indeed ... often in more ways than one! Linda |

I agree with everyone else who's commented on this. I would definitely put these people under a "Hero" title. They risk their lives so someone else may live... that's so amazing. The mentality of these people are awesome... and their hearts are in the right place. Through all the corruption in this world, it's a great comfort to think about those who do these deeds with little recognition. It's excellent... there should be a day devoted to them! Hehe. Thanks for posting this thread. The recognition and thanks is long overdo. --Marie You can’t expect the roses to grow without the weeds. |
