In the space between moments

I am sooo frustrated...my muse is enjoying playing little games with me....I have tons of ideas running around in my head to write about, but once I get ready to write one, it leaves and another one comes! I guess it's kinda a form of writer's block (which I haven't had in a long time, so I guess it's bound to come sooner or later).  Ugh, what to do!  Maybe I need a break from school to sort out all my half-ideas and clear my head?

Been there, done that! I haven't finished a poem since July. So, I started a story!

Each new poem is a struggle for me lately. I'm wondering if spending so much time reading poetry is inhibiting my writing poetry?

It's frustrating isn't it?  I have been unable to write for the longest time (been spending a lot of time in the Alley and in Philosophy 101), yet I have all these great lines and ideas floating around with nothing to connect them.

Until today... had this line in my head "ferral whispers" and couldn't get it out, so I started writing with that, then threw in some of the other things that had been floating about.... a little massaging and tweaking, and ta da!  A poem! Must not have been very good since know one has read it, BUT! It got my brain flowing again...

Why am I writing all this?  Because it is late and I am up and will not be able to go to bed (bad tummy), so this is helping to distract me....

Don't forget to jot down those thought snippets... then maybe you can make them into a poem later.. and JP - I'll see if I can find your poem... Reading now... hm... notice I didn't say writing...

Hey Nan, it is entitled "Stop", I'm not sure why.... I posted it in Open, but then thought it would fit better in Dark, so it is there as well (kind of a Beat Generation thing I guess - somehow I may have been influenced in style...)

My apologies Alywe for promoting myself on your post.... it is selfish and rude of me.

Perhaps my deviant social behavior can inspire you to write something....

My good thoughts to y'all.

titles...lines...just let them flow, sit and percolate...

then go back, and beautiful things will come...

I promise!

Krista, I completely understand. But it's not "Writer's Block," it's called "Writer's Circle."

Must be a contagious sickness, because I'm experiencing the same thing. Or it comes in the form of plenty of ideas, but not enough time, energy, or intelligence to put it all into words.
