I Thought That I Knew You

I thought that we were friends,
I thought we’d never lie.
I thought it’d always be like this,
‘Til one of us had died.

I even thought I knew you,
And that you really cared.
And that in all of the hard times,
That you’d always be there.

But now things are different,
And they’ll never be the same.
Friendship’s such a strange thing,
And it isn’t just a game.

And so, to our friendship,
I’m gonna say “good-bye.”
Many lies from you I’ve heard,
And I do not know just why.

What a nice poem!! Lots of emotion and "Feelings"!! You might want to post in one of the poetry forums like Open poetry 8!!
