I know what you mean when you talk about soul mates. I found mine back in 1996 but after a year and a half he was taken away from me. Read my poem in the feelings section it's called Lee's death. |

I wish I did know what a soul mate was. it sounds wonderful, like becoming complete is something like winning the lottery. I worry tho, about transferring all of my inadequacies into another, perhaps, non-existant person. I worry about blaming someone for being what they are not--instead of loving them for who thay are. I worry that being in love really is temporary madness--that I'm not cut out for the long-term work of love. I worry. Period. And the agony of it is that I am beginning to believe that I will die lonely and longing and I wish that there was a person I could tell this to who could hold me and comfort me. |
