Looks like I'm going to be alone on my birthday for yet another year. My brother can't come home from college again this year, my parents really don't give a rip, and my friends...most don't even remember what day of the year it is. It's not fair, but with each year it does get a little easier. A little less painful. No one should have to feel forgotten though. "It's my curse to constantly be in battle with Him."- Me |

I came back to see if your birth date was on here, but I don't see it. Exactly what is the date? I have 3 grand daughters with December birthdays, 18th, 26th and 28th. Then a grandson on Jan. 3rd, another on 1/10, the same as one of his younger sister's. My son is 1/18, which was also my late mother's. Lots clustered around Christmas and New Years. Do you suppose that's why yours gets forgotten? What are you friends doing that they don't know what day it is? LOL Rae |

I share a December date with you...if indeed December is your month. We sags...we're such a different breed [as all might say...]but we feel slights so intensely.... I remember, being the eldest, and having my 21st birthday. Not one member of my family remembered! Sure put me in place. I would have thought that it would have been a milestone for someone besides me....LOL... but since I was already married, and had a child...I guess my parents figured that I had already met enough milestones for myself that heck...what's the big deal? As for my siblings, hell, they were just trying to reach 21 themselves! What's the big deal? This year? I'm giving a party to myself. Because...I did manage a "big deal" which may be, to my mind only, just that. But it's MY party, and I'll throw it if I want to! [You have to be MY age to get that line...] Christioned? Happy Birthday, no matter WHAT age you are! Come back next year, and you and I will celebrate another one, together!  |

My birthday is the tenth of Dec. I normally don't complain about being forgotton; just for some reason this year seems to bug me more than the others. I realize that around x-mas people can get pretty weird and scatter brained. And I'm not trying to complain about it. Just feelin blue in a month when cheer is supossed to be so abundant. Guess what? Just learned Emily Dickinson was born in Amherst, Mass. on Dec. 10th. She wrote 1,775 poems but only 7 were published in her lifetime. Now that you know you're born the same day as another famous poet, don't let it go to your head, okay? I'll remember to celebrate your life on the 10th. Smile, God loves you. Rae |

if you want to party or see your brother or parents, or do something nutty why wait for your birthday. the one certainty in life is that it will end, so what more excuse do you need to party other than the simple fact that you can. btw, my best friend consistently forgets my b-day, even though from the time we were 12-20 we would go do something crazy on that day. things are what You make them. -majnu |

I know what it's like when you're birthday is forgotten. Mine is a very long story which happened on my 21st birthday. Since then I've vowed to do something exciting or unexpected every year. My 22nd birthday for something different I dived fully clothed into a pool, which got lots of laughs and cheers from my friends! My 23rd birthday I had a "Saints and Sinners" costume party on the beach. My 24th birthday I flew to Cairns. My 25th birthday I'll be in Sapporo in Japan. For years no one remembered mine. Even now my daughted forgets. After awhile I just got numb to it. I learned to love myself on those special days. Happy Birthday and love yourself and buy yourself a gift. God bless you. |
