Hello Sir, You are the Lord they say who can produce a miracle, each and every day I am just a woman, producing nothing but love for friends I've met in rhyming words through the internet But some of them I came to know real close as you might say My question is, if you're the Lord could you produce a miracle perhaps, dear Sir...today? They are your greatest fans you see but they are in distress They need your help and maybe more 'Cause Rita will create a mess Rita is a lady too at least, that's what they say and she is hitting hard on friends later on this very day So here I am, I'm begging you keep them safe and sound If you're as good as they all say then keep them to the ground Because dear Sir, my greatest wish is to see them all once more To feel their arms in tender hugs to watch them laugh out loud To hear their words in beautiful rhyme You are the Lord they're saying proud who can produce a miracle Get on with it, dear Sir, it's time! I wrote this last year, when 'Francis' was near to hit Florida, but I feel it's on it's place for 'Rita' too, hitting Texas and it sure would've been for that malicious lady 'Katrina'. My heart will be with all people in the danger zone. I can't even imagine what a hurricane feels like Like scattered leaves...my words will flow |
