Machiavellian Meaning

January just jostled by,
flipping February fast,
mangling March magnificently,
almost absolving April,
then melted mincingly into mocking
an early Mayish day…

and Sun, she shone on the
found finesse of us, as she wickedly watered
the wet of snow, as we watched the
hatchlings of larvae lift lightly,
even eying early eruption
of buds, begging early bloom…

then dusk deigned to rainbow radiantly, only
as Kansas can, convincingly,
cleverly, cunningly,

but somewhere, out there…
winter still has a haughty hold,
and this, a brief
respite ringing ‘round in the hull
of squirrels running seriously
in search of joy

before winter wields warnings
and the blue grays,
and the rainbows
are but a brief
bow to
tomorrow.

Ooooh I see Martie here.

am I right? heh

Beautiful Kari.

and I am haunted
by my illicit exquisite dream
but I can't really wake up
so I just drift in between

I too would say Janet Marie,
with the use of the alliterations, looks like her to me..
and most times she does include a beautiful pic.

Ya know, at first I thought Serenity, and then after a second read, I thought with the alliterations, yep, JM....
but you know me, I'm rarely ever right...lol...but it sure is a beauty!!

It lacks only a reference to the Chesapeake to seal the deal.

Nice costume Kari!

I am not that familiar with Janet Marie - and the only thing that rings a bell is a piece Mark Sheldon did recently about a chair - either way - this is fun

After shooting myself in the foot once,  I
must deny having guessed the first time...
and decide that it may very well be JM...
yahuh,  yep, yeah!

JM is my guess, and a very pretty poem it was too.
