Darkness presides over my desires rather than the prosperity of light What life is this Shrouded by shadows hope forlorn But between the line between night and day There is a covanent between the Creator and Himself that certain things shall be And one of those things is day How my tongue thirsts and my eyes weary; straining to see the shadow of dawn |

Your poem inspired me to look a bit deeper between the lines. I like the idea that you shared here that there is a covenant, a promise, between the line between the night and the day. That line is very very narrow, but at the same time very very distinct. It is most amazing to me just to imagine that God understands the workings between the lines and that he has complete control as to present to us another beautiful beautiful new day. It's Awe Inspiring. God bless you and thank you for sharing. -Bob |

Thanks Bob - there is that place when nothing makes sense and dreams are lost and in searching for an answer there is only darkness. But God will bring the day and so there is hope even in the midst of darkness. In the far north of Canada, there is no daylight for several months - but then there is no darkness for several months in the summer. I think life is like that sometimes. |

Just as long as you keep straining and searching, and hoping, to find that light. And I agree, life is like that. Excellent poem. Always God's Girl, Alyssa |

Hi Copperbell. I've gone to Ontario, Canada every year for a vacation, but never as far north as you say..(BTW, where is that?) Anyway, the times I was there, the sun didn't go out for days, but the weather could be sooo cold. "How my tongue thirsts and my eyes weary; straining to see the shadow of dawn" and this is the "spark" which will kindle hope that there's a always a new day, even if sometimes it hides behind the clouds. It's a thought worth pursuing, to take us off our daily grind or gloomy moments.. Thanks. |

Hi JJote. Thanks for your reply. The northern part of Canada "does" this. |
